2003 – a self-paced instructional resource to learn how to search for medical and health information effectively

This resource was organized in 3 levels with each level presenting real scenarios that healthcare professionals need to perform. Once the objectives were clearly presented, they move to a 2-frame based navigation where on the left they have specific instructions on the tasks and on the right, they can log in the database to perform the tasks. These were enhanced, specially for visual learners, with images of interface elements and “Demos” for complex tasks. Test yourself interactive simulations of specific tasks were also available for students to check their knowledge.
